Compress PDFs
Large PDF files can make sharing or uploading slow. With PDFgear’s Compress PDF tool, you can shrink your documents quickly without losing important quality.
- Open PDFgear and click Compress PDF under the Hot Tools tab.

Open the PDF Compressor
- In the compression window, click Add Files to select one or more PDFs.

Add PDF Files to the Compressor
- The files will load with details like size and status. To remove a file, click the trash icon next to it.
- Under Compression Level, choose High, Medium, or Low. You can apply different levels to different files in the same batch.
High: Smallest file size, lower image quality.
Medium: Balanced quality and size (recommended).
Low: Keeps higher quality, smaller reduction.

Custom Compression Settings
- In the Output Path box, choose where to save the compressed file. Rename it if you want to keep the original copy.

Batch Compress PDF Files
- Click Compress. PDFgear will generate your compressed PDF(s). If you added multiple files, they will all be processed at once.
