Open a Locked PDF
Here’s a clear guide for opening a locked (password-protected) PDF with PDFgear on Mac.
- Open the PDFgear app from your Dock or Applications folder.
- Click Open File to pick the PDF you want to open, or drag the file into the PDFgear window.

- A pop-up will appear asking for the password. Type the correct password in the field and press Enter.

- Once the password is confirmed, the PDF opens, and you can read or edit it like any other file.

Remove PDF Password in PDFgear
- After opening the file, go to the Protect tab, click Change Password, and then select Remove Password in the pop-up.
You can now open the file without typing a password each time.
