PDFgear User Guide

PDF Compression Settings

PDFgear lets you choose how much to shrink your file. There are three compression levels:

  • High: Reduces file size the most, but lowers image quality.
  • Medium: Balances file size and quality (recommended).
  • Low: Keeps the best quality with only a small size reduction.

When to use each level:

  • High: Best for emailing or uploading to sites with strict file size limits.
  • Medium: Great for everyday use—clear text and decent image quality with a smaller size.
  • Low: Ideal for archiving or printing when you want to preserve the original look.
