Header and Footer in PDF

In PDF editing software like PDFgear, you typically have several options for customizing headers and footers, including date and time, Page numbers, document title, and more.

How to Insert the Header and Footer

Step 1. Launch PDFgear software and open the PDF document to which you want to add headers and footers.

Step 2. In the menu, navigate to the “Edit” tab and you will find the “Header & Footer” function. Click on Add in the sub-menu to add a header or footer to your PDF. Click on Update if you want to modify the existing header or footer.

Step 3. In the header and footer settings, you can customize the text content. This may include information like page numbers, the date and time, and file name.

Step 4. PDFgear allows you to format and style your header and footer text. You can adjust font size, color, alignment, and other formatting options to make it look as you desire.

Step 5. Before finalizing your changes, preview how the header and footer appear on your PDF pages. This helps you ensure it’s positioned correctly.

Step 6. Once you are satisfied with the header and footer settings, click the “OK” button to add them to your PDF. Save the document to keep your changes.

 

In the header and footer box, you can also add custom text, which might include additional document information like author names, and confidentiality notices.

How To Delete Header and Footer

Step 1. To remove all added headers and footers in the PDF, click the ‘Delete’ button in the Header & Footer submenu.

Step 2. In the pop-up notification windows, tap on “Yes” to permanently remove the header&footer or page number.

If the PDF’s headers and footers are flattened or have nonstandard properties, updating or deleting them may not be possible.
